More to the hip saga!

So I have new news on the ongoing saga of my hips!
I went and saw the doctor on Friday and found out I have to have surgery again to fix some bone and muscle that has moved up where it shouldn't be and is pushing on the replacement and the muscle isn't holding the replacement in anymore or supporting it.

Because of work and the fact that I don't want to do more damage, fall, or break something I have to have the surgery ASAP. As of right now the surgery will be Monday August 24th in the morning at Banner Good Sam. I will have to stay in the hospital for a couple of days and then I will be out of work for four to five weeks. But we are hoping that after this surgery I will be good for the next 15 or 20 years when I will have to have the replacements, replaced.

So I'm asking for your prayers, thoughts, and good vibes to be sent my way on Monday and while I am healing and I am soooooo very thankful for everyone's love and support over this past 24 and 1/2 years of me having to deal with all of this!

Going private!

Due to some gross people in the world and some really sad and sick stories I have decided to go private! So you have one week to leave me a comment with your e-mail address so I can send you an invite to my blog!

Family time at the Science Center!

A couple of weekends ago we went to the Arizona Science Center

First we went into the building exhibit and learned about recycling, how they build things here in Arizona, and saving water.

Next we went to the Human Body exhibit.

Here Dad, Konner, and I are holding on to a freezing cold bar and trying to distract ourselves from the pain of the cold. Dad and I were able to hold on to the bar for over four minutes!

My dad checking his reaction time which he sucked at because he didn't read the instructions and was trying to catch it in the wrong spot.

We found a wall measure that us three kids decided to do!

Karli is almost 5'6

Konner is about 4'7

And of course me being the shorty is only 5'1

Next we went into the room of weight and motion.

Here is Karli and Konner playing tug-a-war with a middle weight

Here is my mom pulling herself up on the hardest pulley. Look how my dad is ready to "support" her!

Konner giving the pulley a try with my dad's help.

Karli proving how buff she is and doing the pulley as well.

From there we went to the technology exhibit.

Here is my dad and Konner behind the screen that showered little beads on you, which was really cool!

Karli, Konner, and me behind the bead wall.

And mom and dad kissing under the beads. They did this and everyone said "ahhh"

We then went to the Lego exhibit

Here is Konner and the Lego Knight.

Me and my Knight in shiny Lego armor!

And of course Karli with the Lego Knight

My dad and the awesome dragon out of Legos.

Me and the awesome Lego dragon!

The really cute Lego baby dragon!

Once we were done with the Legos we went on to the air and weather exhibit.

Here is Konner flying a plane in high winds.

In the weather exhibit they have an exhibit that you get to experience different types of weather and things like that, it was really cool! But as we were waiting for it to start Karli and I played paddy cake.

And really had fun!

It was a great day and a ton of fun!!

Junk food at the movies!

So Konner and I went to the movies while our parents were gone and we got some snacks.

First it started with a pretzel for Konner

And then a Icee for me

And this is how it ended!!

Two Icee, a water bottle, one pretzel, an order of nachos, and of choice popcorn! Good thing the popcorn was free and I had movie money!!

Fun at the zoo!

The week that our parents and Karli were up at Girl's Camp, Konner and I got to go out and do some pretty fun things!

On the Tuesday they were gone I was cancelled from work and since it had rain the night before and the weather was nice Ducky and I went to the zoo!

Konner getting ready to dive into the turtle and fish pond in the entry of the zoo!

The turtles in the pond

Here is the picture they took of us when we first walked into the zoo! Isn't it cute!

Konner sitting on an Oddball(Kristopher's bearded dragon) shaped bench!

A cute little owl

A sleeping tiger

The male lion

The female lion

Me with the Flamingos

Some giraffes

A Zebra

The duck that tried to attack us as Konner and I sat there and ate our granola bars!

And even though the weather was nicer it is still Arizona in the summer so here is Konner and me at the end of the day enjoying some cool treats to cool us down! This is also way I don't have nine million pictures because it got to hot and sticky for me to care to take pictures of every little thing. But in the end it was a ton of fun and we will totally do it again, just maybe in the fall or winter!

Deadliest Catch Season 5

Today is a sad day for me! Because today is...........................

the season final of Deadliest Catch season 5! I know I'm a nerd!

So in light of my favorite show finishing this season and making me wait 8 and a half months for the next season to start I decided to post some highs and lows from each boat about this season for you all that think you are too cool (but you all know it's because you're all not cool enough) to watch the show! And sorry some of the crew pictures are older and not up to date with this season and who were on the crews.

First let's start with the Time Bandit

The Time Bandit this year finished King Crab season in record time and got to spend some well deserved time to Mexico while the rest of the fleet was still crab fishing!

They had to let go a member of the crew because they were over staffed but who it was I'm not saying! You will just have to watch the reruns and find out!

Jonathan got his famous USA jacket stolen by a crew member on another boat as a joke and was didn't get it back until the start of Opies

Next was the Northwestern

Sig gave up smoking!! For three hours at least!

Jake sister passed away in an episode that made me sob. My thoughts and prayers are still with the Anderson family

The crew kicked ass at the end of Opies with only four men on deck and was able to haul all their pots before a HUGE storm!

Now on to the Cornelia Marie!

Captain Phil Harris wasn't able to fish King Crab due to the medical issues that happened last February

Jake and Josh managed to make it through another season without killing each other!

Captain Phil came back for Opie season and rocked it!

And lastly is the Wizard!

Lenny retired after over 20 years on the sea

Keith had a cancer health scare at the start of King Crab season that turned out to just be a scare

The crew welcomed on the Time Bandit crew member that got the boot to work the deck for them for their last trip out for Opies

It was a fabulous season with a lot of up and downs, fun and serious times

To end my Deadliest Catch post enjoy some random pictures of Captains and crews!

Mike and another Time Bandit crew member fixing and preparing pots before the season starts

Mounds of King Crab!

A pot full of Opies coming on board the Wizard! And look at that cute ans sexy smile that is on Crosby's face!!

A crew member checking the tie and getting hit by a wave.

Tossing the line!

Pulling a pot.

Pulling a pot on the Northwestern in some unfavorable weather

Again the season was fabulous and I'm glad that all four boats made it back safely and my thoughts and prayers go out to those boats, captains, and crews that didn't make it back and I wish them all the best of luck for next season!
