Grandpa Hatch

This morning another cowboy rode off into the sunset and Heaven gained another amazing man!

My Grandfather, Kenneth Bly Hatch, passed away peacefully in hospice care here in Mesa, Arizona after a courageous, hard, and valiant four year battle with cancer and heart disease.

When he was diagnosed in the early summer of 2011 the doctors told him that he would be lucky to have 18 more months. But in true form he laughed it off and set out to prove them wrong, which he did and we cherished every extra second we got with him!

In those extra seconds, minutes, hours, days, weeks, months, and years we got with him he was able to see one granddaughter come home off her mission, a grandson leave and come home from his mission, two more granddaughters leave on missions, three granddaughters get married (myself included), welcome six new great grandbabies (Rondalynn included), and in those finally months help us celebrate and get ready for Little Bean's arrival next February! He also got to travel to other states and continue to trap and do those things that he loved to do everyday!

His life was full, no doubt about it! He was married to my grandmother and his sweetheart for 56 years, had five wonderful kids, was blessed with 21 unbelievable grandchildren, and was again blessed with 11 and 1 on the way amazing great grandchildren!

I thank the Lord so much that for almost 30 years I was honored and proud to call this man my grandfather! Whenever I thought of a cowboy he was what came to my mind. He taught us the importance of hard work and dedication, loved the land, nation, his faith, his family, and Father in Heaven, loved to laugh and play jokes, would be one of the first people to nap up the baby when he came into a room, and was an amazing example in so many more things that I could never fully list!

Below are some of the pictures I have found of him on my computer today.

I'm not sure if I can caption all of them because it took a lot to get through this post.

Snacking while waiting for Brittany to come out of the Temple after getting married!

After his back surgery he had this back brace that we named "The Turtle Shell" at our family gathering that summer all the grandkids and great grandkids colored pictures and wrote messages on his shell!

Another family Christmas party! This is an old one because I was still in high school and this was at Shanna's house in Peoria!

He was sick when Ron and I got married and couldn't be there in person even though him and my grandma where there in spirit. So Ron and I went up to see him a couple days after our wedding on the way to our Honeymoon in Vegas!

I will cherish these pictures forever! This is grandpa "stretching" Rondalynn after she was born! He admitted she was so tiny he was a little afraid to hold her but as soon as she got in his arms she stretched right now in a content sleep with a huge smile on her face!

Grandpa was known for "resting his eyes" pretty much anywhere he sat down! This time it was on my parent's couch with a rabbit for Rondalynn!

Even though these are blurry I still love them! Grandpa playing with Rondalynn!

In my many catch up posts I will post about this picture as well as have more pictures but this was too sweet not to share!

And so was this one!

Enjoying his famous biscuits and gravy with my dad at one of the Adam Reunions.

Here is an oldy but a goody! Grandpa and me playing video games when I was little!

Lastly is this priceless picture of him at a family Halloween party! I love this picture!

He will forever be missed and every family event will have that little empty spot!

I love you grandpa and will miss you!

But I know that families are forever and this isn't goodbye but until we meet again!

Luca Davide Kenneth Pisola!

Baby Pisola is here!!

On Tuesday, November 11, 2014 this little cutie came into the world!

Luca Davide Kenneth Pisola!

November 11, 2014 at 8:43 am!

He was 5 lbs 6 oz and 18 3/4 inches long! Meaning he took Rondalynn's spot at being the littlest great grandbaby but beat her by 3/4 for being the shortest! Since I'm the shortest of us with great grandbabies I don't see my daughter's title for shorty being taken anytime soon! Hahaha!

As another side note the middle name Kenneth was added a couple days after he was born in honor of my Grandpa Hatch! So sweet of them!

Brittany is doing great and her and Davide are settling into and loving being parents!

Welcome to the World Luca! I can't wait to love on you!

Fuzzy Baby!

Since Squeaky has been born I haven't posted a lot of pictures of our oldest and fuzzy baby much!

So here is some Socrates to feast your eyes one!

He may look all calm in this picture but this was taken right after he just got done bouncing off the walls after coming inside for a while!

He is such a good dog and even though Rondalynn chases him around the house, sometimes isn't so soft when she "pets" him, and plays with his toys he completely loves her!

If he comes in and she is asleep first thing he does is check on her and if she is awake he makes sure she is fine and happy!

She adores him and sometimes I think she enjoys having him in the house then Ron and I! Hahaha!

We love our fuzzy baby boy!

Honoring Those Who Serve!

Today is Veteran's Day.

Today we Honor and recognized all of the men and women who have served and are serving in the armed forces to keep this country free.

I realized I haven't really every blogged about this day like I do a lot of other holidays or observed days and decided that needs to change!

Now that I'm a mother I want my children to know the importance of today and days like it.

I want them to be thankful and honor those who gave the ultimate sacrifice so we can live in a free country and have the life that we have.

I want them to be proud and respect that their Grandpa Truex (who passed away in 2006), served and fought for our county.

So today take a moment to be thankful, respectful, honor, and take joy in your life because of the brave men and women who have served, are serving, and will serve.

Take a moment of silence for them today and be proud of those you are honoring.

I hope that my children will grow up having this respect and teach it to their children as well.

Thank you Veterans for everything you have given and sacrificed so my husband, children, and myself can be and live free!

Tender Moment!

I'm still behind on a couple of posts that my goal is to be caught up on before Thanksgiving but I had the most overwhelming feeling that I needed to skip ahead and do this post!

My Grandpa Hatch or Papa Hatch to his great grandbabies has been really sick for the past month and a half about.

Even though his cancer hasn't gotten worse or spread other things have been going on that I will post about more in one of my catch up posts in the next coming weeks.

Right now he is down here in Mesa at the hospital and the night he got here my parents and brothers went to see him and my Grandma Hatch or Gigi to the great grandbabies.

I didn't know they were going and later that night I got on Facebook like I do at the end of the day to catch up on the lives of my family and close friends and this picture was one of the first things I saw that my mom had posted that night!

Instant hot, heart breaking tears rolled down both my cheeks within seconds of seeing it!

That is my Ducky in one of the most tender moments I have ever seen!

My mom said he was having a hard time seeing grandpa like this and you can tell in this picture but more than anything you can see the pure love, gratitude, and respect he has for our tough cowboy grandpa!

In an instant my baby brother was no longer a 15 year old teenage boy but was years older than his birth certificate states.

To me this picture is telling our grandpa everything he could every want to say to him and in a way is his own silent and personal way of saying I love you and goodbye.

These are two of my favorite men and in a way I feel sorry for Konner and almost guilty that I have gotten almost 30 years with this wonderful man and Ducky has only had half that amount.

But I know that when he is called home to be with our Father in Heaven he will be whole, healed, watching over, blessing us, and kissing and spoiling every single one of those great grandbabies waiting to come to earth.

Until then I will forever cherish this picture and I know no matter how many times I see it my heart will swell even more with love!

And I thank the Lord he allowed my mom to capture this most tender and sweet moment that we will all cherish!

10 Months!

Whoever allowed my daughter to turn 10 months did not okay it with me! Hahaha!

Today my baby girl is 10 months old and no longer in the single digits of months in this first year of life! Which has gone by at record speed!

Here are the photos from our mini monthly photo shoot this morning!

She loves her piggies!

And doesn't like to sit still very long!

Mommy had to step in with tickling to get some more pictures from my wiggling girl!

And like always here is our monthly update photo!

It's honestly mind blowing how fast she is growing up and how much she is growing and doing each day but I wouldn't trade a single second of it!
