First Bath!

Rondalynn's cord had dried up and fell off the morning we left the hospital so that meant that she was all cleared to have her first real bath!

So the day after coming home I got everything all ready to give her, her first bath which was of course in the kitchen sink!

Socrates was very concerned that we put the baby in the sink and it didn't help that Rondalynn wasn't that big of a fan of her bath at first. So Socrates sat right by me the entire time to make sure everything was okay and I wasn't going to put her in the dishwasher!

I'm sorry but I love this picture! It's one of those ones that mom's love of their kids crying or being upset! She really wasn't liking this whole getting a bath nonsense!

Socrates felt much better once she was out of sink and Rondalynn was much happier being out of the sink as well!

She has gotten to really like her bath now, the only thing she doesn't like is the getting naked and making the trip in just a towel to get to the bath but once she is in the water she enjoys it!

Big Brother!

Before we brought Rondalynn home Ron brought home two blankets and a hat that Rondalynn was wrapped in or wore so Socrates could start getting use to her scent.

When we got home Socrates was first excited that we were home and then he caught her scent and had to check her out.

He was hooked just like we were when we first saw her!

He now has to check on her first thing when he comes in the house, will lay by the crib, swing, or bouncy if she is in it, makes sure that only the people allowed to get near her get near her, and give her kisses on the side or top of the head.

The first couple days we were home if I was on the bed with her he had to be on the bed as well!

Watching his "little sister" sleep!

He is such a good dog and I'm glad he is protective of her and seems to completely love her!
