Giggly Wedding Pics!

I came across these two photos that I loved from Brittany and Davide's Wedding November of 2011. Ron and I were in her wedding party and these photos made me laugh so hard so I wanted to share them with you all!

The bride and bridesmaid "wiggling!"

And the bridal party laughing at the fact that David was about to grab the groom's butt!

Movie Night with Aunt Kassi and Uncle Ron!

We didn't know that Echo was going to have to have surgery when we were in Disneyland and when we got our Cozy Cone mugs while there we decided that one night we would have them over for a Cars Theme movie night. When we knew they were going to be staying the night the night Echo had surgery we figured this was going to be the best time to do it! And I have to tell you that every idea on this post came out of my own brain and I didn't come from Pinterest! Sorry I'm very proud of that fact!

I won't lie I was super excited to do a Themed movie night with Alex and Kalia and I got very into it! The day before I went to the dollar store and I came home with all of this so I could make...............

these!!!!

I'm so glad that Dollar Tree has a lot of Cars and Tinkerbell things so I knew not only could I get a theme both of them loved but also two different themes in the same items so they knew which was which! This was Alexzander's bag and all the goodies in it!

And this was Kalia's bag and contents!

I can't ell you how excited I was about these bags! I had to take this picture with my phone and send it to almost everyone I thought would care and think they were cute!

As if the "Roadside Emergency Kit" bags weren't enough to prove how much I got into it and how excited I was this should help! The kids love pigs in a blanket but I took it one step further and the night before I dyed the dough four different colors so that they would look like. Since this was the canned biscuit dough it was harder to completely dye but it was still super cute!

Here is our ice, Cozy Cone mugs, and "motor oil" (a.k.a Root Beer)

I finished the plates off which Ron's idea of cookie car wheels because which kids don't like cookies! The day after this it both dawned on us that we should have used Oreo's but this still worked and was super cute!

I started the first Cars movie while dinner was cooking and gave the kids their kits which of course they loved!

As you can see from the next so many photos that they loved them!

The kids enjoying their Cars dinner!

After dinner to go with their Jello dessert they got to eat popcorn out of Lightening McQueen!

It was a super fun night and Alex and Kalia loved it! I'm seeing more movie themes in our future and of course when we have kids of our own!

Play Date with Aunt Kassi!

A few days after coming home form our Utah/Disneyland trip Echo went in to have her gallbladder removed. In the late Summer Shelia asked Echo to watch the kids overnight while Jeremy and and her had a date and since he surgery was decided on and thrown together very quickly it was going to have to be done on the same day. Well since I was going to take school and work off to take and help Echo I told Shelia I would watch the kids too! So she met us at the hospital to drop off the kids and they got to play with Echo until they called her back to get her ready. While she was back there they both sat on my lap and I explained that Grandma Echo had an owie in her tummy and they doctor was going to give her some medicine to make her go to sleep and then she was going to take out and fix the owie in her tummy. Kalia kept saying then she be better when he tummy is better and Alexzander kept insisting that their was a baby in Grandma Echo's tummy. I won't lie I had a good laugh about that! They left us go back to say bye before her surgery and I when I told the kids that they had to hold my hand, walk, listen, and be very quiet when we were back there they listened so good you would have thought that threatened them that Santa would never come ever again if they didn't! Hahaha! But they said goodbye and gave her hugs and kisses and we went off to have some fun while we waited the hour and a half or two hours until she was done. Of course little kids don't want to stay inside and be quiet in the waiting room so instead we................

Went outside to look and slightly play.....

in the water fountain outside of the front lobby.

Isn't it crazy how much kids love water and fountains even when it's cold outside!

Just like all kids the water fountain only held so much interest for them. Since we had at least an hour or hour and a half left I loaded them into the car seats of my car and we headed to.................

McDonalds! Yes this was just as much for me as it was for them! I needed a Coke and french fries to fuel me for the next few hours! Hahaha!

To waste extra time they got to play for about forty five minutes!

A funny story about this! Kalia got on this toy and then pointed to the turtle, frog, hippo, bear, and tree and told me what they were. So I asked her that she was sitting on. Without missing a beat and with a huge smile on her face she said a Cheeto! Hahaha! I loved it!

After McDonalds we went back to the hospital where Mimi and Papa were and they watched Alex and Kalia while I went back to watch and get Echo ready to go home after surgery. Then I loaded in Alex, Kalia, and Grandma Echo and we headed home. But don't worry it wasn't the end of our day! I have another post tomorrow about the rest of it!

Grandparent Cuteness!

Have I ever told you that I have pretty much four of the most awesome grandparents ever! Yes, the awesomeness so be jealous! Hahaha!

While organizing and going through photos and such I came across these and I had to share!

My Grandma and Grandpa Hatch!

This picture was take of them at Brittany's wedding in November of 2011 and I love it! The week of Ron and my wedding my Grandpa got sick and had to be admitted to the hospital. He was told even if he got out of the hospital that he couldn't come down for our wedding because of how fragile his health was at that point. It completely crushed my grandparents and even though I was sad by it as well I would rather have him miss our wedding and then have years more to spend with us then have him come down for the wedding and get worse and have no more time to spend with us.

My Drandma and Drandpa Larson!

This picture was taken of them at the dinner for Ron and I after our sealing and I love it just as much as the picture above it of my other grandparents! They were both happy to be able to make it down for all the wedding festivities! But one of the things that I will hold dear to me of my wedding day was having my Drandpa Larson there in the sealing room with us as Ron and I were sealed for time and all eternity. I love  my grandpa but I always figured that I would never see him in or go with him to the Temple. I know that sounds horrible and yes I really wanted him to be able to go again but he was comfortable with his life and he was the one that made the daily choices each day with how he wanted to live life. So when I found out he had his Temple recommend and would be there I was beyond excited but it wasn't until after we were sealed and the family and friends walked by to congratulate us as they left the sealing room my Drandpa was one of the last people to come up. I was proud at the fact that I held my emotions together so well by that point but seeing him there, in the house of the Lord, witnessing how the example of him and my Drandma and my Grandma and Grandpa Hatch being sealed in the Temple lead to my parents to take, at the time, Kristopher, Karli, and myself to the Temple in 1995 to be sealed as a family, which lead to that day as I knelled over the alter with Ron, the love of my life, and started the first part of our eternal family and future together, made me completely sob tears of overwhelming joy. (Thank heaven for waterproof makeup!) Seeing the tears in his eyes and the smile on his face is an image, like so many that day, that will stay with me forever!

I love you all four of you so much and thank you for all your examples and teachings that I know I will express and show to my future babies!

Dylan "The Punk" Mashlan

I won't lie this was one of the hardest and bittersweet posts I have done up to date and I'm only this one sentence into writing it and I'm already sobbing!

If you know me and my family you have heard or seen or even talked to Dylan or Punk as I lovingly call him.

He is the one and only child of Jeff and Paula Mashlan who are amazing family friends and Dune buddies!

My mom started watching him before he was a year and within days of him coming to my mom's daycare he had us all completely wrapped around his finger and from that point on to me he was just like another baby brother who I love just as much as my three biological siblings and we quickly became older siblings to him.

He would come on errands and trips with us. We watched him on weekends and after my mom's daycare hours. He would stay the night with us, come to family functions, and even referred to my grandparents as Grandpa and Grandma.

As he got older he developed the funniest and cutest personality and had us in stitches most of the time from laughing to much! He also had one of the biggest and sweetest hearts ever! Even if he got in trouble and was in timeout when his punishment was over he would, most of the time without being told to, come up, say he was sorry, give you and hug and kiss, and tell you that he loves you.

He was one of the first people to great you as you came into the house and always had to have a hug, kiss, and to tell you he loved you before you could leave.

Before my wedding we were sitting on the couch watching an episode of "Kassi's Catch" (his name for Deadliest Catch) and I showed him a picture of me in my wedding dress after Echo had finished it that I had on my phone. He gasps a huge gasp, pull my phone closer, then looked at me with a huge smile and with the sweetness that only a child can have said "Kassi you are so beautiful!" It brought tears to my eyes and then he jumped off the couch, ran out to the fridge with the sodas and got a "Cucoo soda" (Coca-Cola) for me (yes he did this without me even asking or saying anything about a coke) and a "Halo Juice" (Mountain Dew) for Llama as he ran back to play Halo with him!"

We all knew that it was a possibility that they would move back to Wisconsin but honestly I didn't take it too seriously the older that Dylan got but sadly it became more than a possibility and yesterday my adoptive baby brother left with his family to start a new chapter in their lives back in Wisconsin.

Like I said in the beginning this is a very hard post to do and a ton of tears have been flowing full force! But of course I have to have some pictures of my Punk to share with you!

I miss you Punk and I hope you come back to visit soon and often!

2012 Goal Recap and 2013 Goals!

Since I gave you a recount yesterday on all the highlights, low lights, and adventures of 2012, today I bring you a recap on how I did on my goals and give you the goals for 2013!

Here is last years goals, I put how I did on them in purple under the goal!

1. Start faithfully going to the Temple twice or more a month!

I know it's no excuse but because the Temple is a bit farther away then my parents house it has been a little harder to go as much as I would have liked to, but I did fairly well and even was able to go to the Manti Temple again, the Las Vegas Temple, and the Salt Lake Temple! Which if you remember from my lifetime goal after I went through the Temple in 2010 to go to one Temple a year that I haven't been too that is out of the state unless for some reason, (like being pregnant, deaths, family events, etc, etc) that I can't travel. This year, just like last year, I went to two!

2. Not call out of work one single day!

Hahaha! That's funny! Moving on!

3. Go to the Gilbert and Phoenix Temple if they open at the end of the year like they are planned to plus visit one Temple out of the State!

Again like I started already I went to two out of state Temples this year that I haven't been to, the Las Vegas (which we did on our Honeymoon) and Salt Lake! Since the Gilbert and Phoenix Temples aren't open yet I could check this goal off!

4. Cut back on my soda intake greatly!

Okay I honestly did very good on this one! I have cut down to either one soda a day or three a week!

5. Pay off the rest of my credit cards!

I didn't get them all paid off but I was able to pay off two!

6. Start a fruit and veggie garden!

I didn't do this one because of the craziness of this year!

7. Get more into shape!

I may not be toned but I have lost some weight!

8. Don't go into the ER unless I'm working there!

Hahaha! I wish I achieved this goal!

9. Go up North to visit family at least once!

Actually went up twice!

10. Right in my journal everyday even if it is a boring nothing happen type of day! This one I will start on tomorrow since it's the beginning of the week!

I failed at this one horribly!

11. Don't miss church unless it's my weekend to work or I'm at another ward for a baby blessing, homecoming, or farewell.

Because of my crazy health issues this one was very hard to keep, but I did okay.

12. Hang out more with my siblings, even if it's just for a couple of hours at my parent's house watching tv and movies!

I didn't do as well as I would have liked but I did pretty good overall!

13. Stop being so grumpy about certain things that are out of my control.

I honestly achieved and rocked this goal!

14. Do not let any of my friends/family win the the baby pool that Ron and I will be pregnant before we have been married a year!

I still have two months for this one but so far so good!

15. Keep my car clean inside and out!

Except for this week my car is fabulously clean!

16. Get over my fear of working with fondant and start practicing making fondant covered cakes and cupcakes!

Nope, didn't even try!

17. Read the Book of Mormon cover to cover!

I got 3/4 of the way through it!

18. Buy a 2nd pair of jeans to have in my wardrobe!

Hahahaha! Yes is 12 months I still managed to not get a second pair of jeans!

19. Enroll in school to finish my prerequisites!

I switched to a different area in the medical field to go to school for and enrolled!

20. Have all the Thank You notes wrote and mailed off within two months of being married!

Did it in three but it's much better than six!

21. Hang out with my best friend more!

Horribly failed this one!

22. Make it through my wedding and still have everyone on talking terms!

Sort of!

23. Eat at home more.

Again another goal I rocked!

24. Go to more extended family gatherings from both sides of my family and my new family!

I did okay with this one.

25. Have more blog posts then I did last year!

Another rocked goal!

26. Go to the dentist and get a cleaning!

Hahahaha! I didn't do this one at all!

27. Go to the Grand Canyon!

Hahaha! Once again I didn't complete this goal for yet another year!

Now that I have recapped on my 2012 goals it is time to share my 28 (because I turn 28 this year) goals for 2013!

1. Try to go to the Temple once a month or more once the Gilbert Temple opens!

2. Go with Ron to the Snowflake and Gila Valley Temple.

3. Finish my HUGE Deadliest Catch quilt that I started before Captain Phil died, so end of 2008!

4. Try once again to conquer my fear of fondant!

5. Once I get caught up on my posts be no more than a week behind with my blogging!

6. Organize the room we have dubbed "Bermuda Triangle" and get stuff out in the shed.

7. Try to go to bed most nights at a decent hour.

8. Stay healthy and out of the doctor or hospital!

9. Finally get the rest of my framed wedding photos up on the wall!

10. Become "with child" by the end of the year at the latest!

11. Pay off my credit cards!

12. Not only go to church more but attend the whole block!

13. Get a hot honey for Socrates! (Come on puppies need love too!)

14. Go camping at least once!

15. Even on my lazy, no work, or errands to be ran days try to get dressed in something other than pajamas at least most of the time!

16. Have my nails painted and lovely at least 75% of the time!

17. Get A's in all my classes.

18. Make more cupcake designs (with or without fondant!)

19. Get a new pair of sandals and another pair of jeans!

20. Go out with friends more.

21. Drink more water.

22. Visit some of the little and less known sights that are close by.

23. Plant a veggie and herb garden!

24. Write in my journal at least four days out of the week.

25. Try to get used to the more spicy foods that my husband loves!

26. Do more reading!

27. Eat healthier food.

28. And once again try to go to the Grand Canyon for the first time!

So there you go my lovelys, my goals for 2013! Make sure to not only check out my blog daily but to also come back in 365 days to see the 2013 goal recap!
