Dylan the Birthday Boy!!

Today is Dylan Mashlan 1st birthday! He is one of our family friends only baby and is one of the cutest things ever!! I get to see him almost everyday because my mom watches him but I had to post something about the birthday boy!!

In one of his favorite places, the high chair! Which means it's time to eat!!

Where's the food?!?!?!?

The really cute cupcakes that his mom made for his birthday!

A formal picture that his mom sent us. Isn't he just the cutest little cowboy ever!!

And lastly my favorite formal picture of him!! Hehehehehehe!!! He is just too cute!!

New Moon

Last night I stayed up to almost midnight even though their was a chance that I would get called into work bright and early to finish New Moon. The second book in the Twilight series that I am hooked to like a drug! It took me a little under two days or more like a day and a half to read and I already have the last two waiting and I can't wait to start them!! I heard mixed reviews on the second one but I liked it and it just makes me hungry for the next two!!

Oh and what do you guys think of my new hair do?

Finally it's done!!

I did it!! I finally finished my blanket that I was making for myself!! It is awesome and I can't wait to curl up under it and watch tv!! It's a electric blue and a bright yellow. It's my Cornelia Marie blanket for Deadliest Catch season since it's the colors of that boat. So I had to post some thing about it and show you guys by first and awesome blanket that I made!!!

As you can see it is as wide as my parents King size bed which I didn't mean it to be but all well. It also is a little over half the length of their bed too!

Here is a close up of the awesome colors!!

And this picture is just too cute! Before I was done I laid it on the floor to see how big it was and then I went off to my room to get more yellow yarn. When I came back Rayvn had made herself all nice and comfortable on my not yet finished blanket. So at least I know I'm the not the only one that will enjoy it!!

Karli's birthday dinner

Friday was Karli's 15th birthday so that night we went out to eat to whatever place she wanted to go to. She picked Joe's Farm Grill in Gilbert that has been on Food Network's Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives.

The food is really awesome there as you can tell!

Karli had the veggie pizza. Oh course she even gets the healthiest meal even on her birthday!
After we ate we got Karli a vanilla shake as her birthday cake and then we opened gifts!!

Mine was first! Isn't that the cutest bag ever!!

I found this Elvis card that when you opened it the King said "I would be nothing but a hound dog if I didn't wish you a happy birthday" It is a totally Karli card!!

From me she got $15 dollars, a cd of classical Mozart strings music, and a Madeline cartoon DVD.
Next was mom, dad, and the boys' gift. Look at the big box!!

Instead of tearing the paper off like a normal person would she carefully and slower unwrapped it!

She got a ton of gum and a lot of really cute and colorful socks. We all know Karli and her crazy socks!!

She also got an awesome pet rock!!

Her she is at the end of the night in front of her dinner choice with her birthday shake! She said it was a lot of fun and that she had a great time!!

Okay, okay I'm hooked!!

So earlier this week I got my Twilight book back from my Aunt Cary who I let borrow when her and I went to New York earlier this year. I sat it by my bed and thought I will get to it sooner or later and thought about letting my mom have it to read so she could pick up when she left off in February when I loaned it out. Yesterday I was getting ready for work and decided that I had to take something to do in my down time since the last day I worked I had nothing to do. I was going to take my blanket that I am so close to finishing but then I remembered that it wasn't a baby blanket so it was a lot larger and would be a lot harder to work on at the desk then a baby blanket would. I saw the book sitting there and thought why not. I may not even get a chance to start it today but at least I would have something
I get to work and start the day and since it is a Saturday it means doctors won't be in until a little bit later then normal. So by eight o'clock I had done all the things I normally do to start out the day and had already had an admit and was done with that. Also all the nurses and aids that I could chatter with were doing vitals or assessments so I was alone at the desk. So I pulled the booked out of my bag and open it thinking I would get busy and have to put it aside before the first chapter was over and before I could get into the book.

Boy was I wrong. I didn't get busy until closer to ten so I was able to read two chapters in between small little interruptions like call lights and the phone ringing. So I was already getting into the book. As I got busy and had to put it aside on my desk it sat there quietly waiting and in a way calling me to read more. So throughout the day I read when it wasn't busy and the more I read the more I didn't want to stop. I was able to read six chapters which is unheard of for a day shift not up in overflow.
I got home and ate and tried to watch some tv with my dad but all I could think about was reading more. So I happily pulled the book out when my parents went to Wal-Mart and that was all she wrote. Soon after they got home I escaped back to my room got in my pajamas and laid in bed reading. I only stopped at ten to have family prayer and then I didn't look at the clock until my eyes were burning with tiredness looming on my eyelids. I thought it had to be midnight at the latest. Oh no it was three in the morning! I quickly looked up at what chapter I was a page away from getting to and realized I only had five chapters left. I looked around and noticed my sister asleep curled up next to me on the bed and wondered when I missed her coming in and then noticed that the house was completely dark and quite except for my bed side light and me debating quietly in my head if I should stay up and finish the last five chapters of the book. I decided that I was going to until as I read the last page of the chapter I was on the words started to blur. So I sadly finished the chapter, turned off the light, and went to bed.

I was up at almost nine o'clock after not being able to sleep well because I was excited like a little child at Christmas and began reading again until my stomach growled angrily at me and my lack of feeding it. So I took a break to eat and then that was it and I sat there and read the pages, each one making me turn it at the end with eager for what was going to happen next. It was amazing to say the least. When I finished I sat it down without reading the first chapter of New Moon knowing it would drive me insane not to be able to read what is next!
So here I sit debating if I should go out and get it on a Sunday, I mean I did already skip church because of my lack of sleep! No matter what I will have it before I go to work tomorrow (if they call me in of course!) So sadly I admit that I am hook and I will have to see the movie at midnight on November 21st and I can't wait to read the next ones!!!

Karli Rachon!!

Today is Karli's 15th birthday!! So in honor of my awesome baby sister I have a few pictures to post and maybe even a story to tell of her!!

So first off is baby Karli in her blessing dress and her bald little head!

Here is Karli and I in the dresses that we wore for our Aunt Trina's wedding.
My favorite baby picture of hers. This is the only time she willingly would put a dress on!

Karli in 2nd grade and one of her best school pictures!!
Karli in Disneyland in 2006, sticking to her no more chocolate ever vow!
Easter Dune trip 2008!! Styling Karli in big sister Kassi's shades!
My taller but still little sister Karli and I at the Dune March of 2008!
So before I end this blog with my all-time favorite picture of Karli, I have to share a story about me and her.
One day we were driving down the road and we got talking about license plates and what we would want them to say. I got a stroke of funny brilliance and said I would want mine to say 7 ate 9. Karli looked at me funny and asked why? Do those numbers mean something? I glanced out her to see if she was joking and then said no it would be the number 7 the word ate you know A-T-E and then the number 9 you know like the joke. She sat there looking straight ahead at the road thinking deeply about what I had just said. Then a huge smile spread across her face and she said Oh!! and started laughing. I said it really isn't that funny, you have heard that joke a million times. She then through her giggles said in all her 11 or 12 years of hearing that joke she never got it but just laughed because everyone else was laughing. I started laughing so hard I cried and to this day every chance I get I bring up that story to her. She doesn't mind it seeing as she wrote it up in great detail for a English paper this year already!
Okay and the moment you have all been waiting for my favorite all-time picture of my Karli Rachon!!
I know my mom has posted this one before and that she is going to post it today for her Karli birthday blog but it is just so awesome that it deserves to be blogged as much as possible in my opinion!!
So happy birthday Baby!!! I love you!!!!

Crazy Kitty!!

This is Socks or A.K.A Fat Kitty (in a little coat! Hehehehe)
So this morning I got in my car to go to work and our cat Socks A.K.A Fat Kitty was lazing about on the top of my car, her favorite place to be. She watched me get in, take the sunshades down, plug in the ipod, put on the sunglasses, and get ready to go. I wasn't really thinking and I wasn't to worried because as soon as we get in the car she normally jumps off and runs off the the rocks or another car to lay on. So I started my car and began to drive down the road. I was no more then two houses away from my house when she jumps down onto the hood of my car. Of course it freaked me out so I slammed on my breaks. She just looked at me and walked in a circle or two and then jumped down and walked her little way to the sidewalk and as I was looking through the rear view mirror back to the house and on top of my mom's truck. I could have turned the car around and hung her from her tail from the tree. But since I didn't want to be late for work or for my sister to hate me forever I opted not to.
