Ron's 30th Birthday Part 2!

The day after Ron's birthday Shelia and the kids came out to celebrate with him some more!

Alex and Kalia bringing him his gift from them, Shelia, and Grandma Echo.

New pants for work!

After he opened his gift we went to one of Ron's favorite places and were there go every year for his birthday Flo's in Scottsdale! Truly this place is awesome and since last year I have been looking forward to going again!

Of course you get to enjoy pictures of our lunch!

They start you out with salad with an Asian peanut vinaigrette!

And tasty won tongs!

We ordered crab puffs and

calamari to start out!

While we were waiting for our food I had fun taking pictures of Alex and Kalia playing with their straws and water!

Yay for food time! This is my honey beef that Kalia completely loved!

Ron's cashew beef!

Shelia's beef and broccoli

The orange chicken for Alex and Kalia that Kalia didn't like so we shared my food instead!

And Echo's long beans and shrimp!

You know these kids are used to me taking pictures when they want me to take pictures of their fortunes!

Kalia is like me and we enjoy our food and eat slower but today she was moving at a whole new slow speed so we got her, her own box to take her food home so she could eat it on the way home if she wanted! Since we had other boxes I decided to label Kalia's!

When we got home we had Ron's favorite ice cream lemon cake!

We made sure that Shelia only put on 30 candles!

Make a wish Babe!

It was a fun and low key two day celebration and I still feel like the luckiest women ever to be married to such an amazing man!

Ron's 30th Birthday Part 1!

This year my wonderful husband turned 30 and we had a two day, quite, and low key celebration!

His birthday was on a Friday so I went up to Phoenix closer to the end of the day to go out to dinner with him!

We went to Tilted Kilt of course! Yum!

Since ComicCon was in town that weekend they had comic book/character drinks! So Ron got a virgin Clone Wars drink complete with light saber!

Of course I had to take pictures of our food! Starting with our potato skins!

Ron's super tasty chicken dinner!

My country fried steak and veggies!

Ron shared his light saber with my drink!

Ron's free dessert! A chocolate chip pazookie! YUMMY!!

Like I said ComicCon was that weekend so when female Link and female Ash walked in I had to use my ninja skills and take a picture of them!

Ron and I with our waitress!

Ron with our waitress!

After dinner we went home where I had Ron open his gift from me!

But first he got a card in the mail from my grandma and grandpa Hatch and opened that too!

Then is was on to my gift!

First part was two bottles of lemonade!

Socrates approved of this!

Next was the new Injustice game!

Lastly he got Star Wars Angry Birds Pens...

And a pack of travel Slim Jims!

Of course Socrates declared that the Slim Jims were highly dangerous and he needed to eat them!

Luckily Ron shared and they both survived eating the Slim Jims!

It was a low key but fun evening that we both enjoyed and since we knew I was pregnant at this point we laughed and talked about needing a baby sitter for next year's birthday celebration!

I saw this and my nerdy self got all excited and had to post it!

These cats are so creepy that it doesn't surprise me if they were on the Roswell ship!

Konner's 8th Grade Graduation!

On May 23rd Ducky Graduated from the 8th Grade! It's more of a promotion but considering Mesa Public Schools didn't do promotions while us other three were in school Konner is the only one that
got to have one which is a fact that he enjoys!

This is the only picture that Konner would let my mom take of him before he left for school that morning! He probably knew I would take enough of them later!

Before we went to the promotion My parents, Llama, and I went to Cafe Zupas for lunch where I had a tasty sandwich and a super tasty bowl of tomato soup! Of course I took this time to take a picture of Llama and I!

On an awesome side note Cafe Zupas serves a chocolate dipped strawberry with each meal! YUM!!

Next it was on to the promotion! A blurry photo of the program!

In order to get good seats we got there over 30 minutes early so what did Llama and I do to pass the time? Talk about tattoos and people watch! Isn't Llama's tat awesome! I've always liked his!

Finally when it started we were first treated to trumpet players.

followed by the choir.

After that one of their teachers talked for no more than 5 minutes! (The way every promotion and graduation should be!)

Then it was on to the name calling and certificate handing out! The kid in the middle is Konner's best friend Alec!

And this is Alec getting his certificate, his fast ninja reflections made it blurry.

Ducky waiting in line to get on the stage.

Waiting and waiting.....

and waiting and waiting to get his certificate.

And finally Ducky getting his certificate!

Lastly was the 2 minute closing remarks!

When we got outside I found Ducky right away but then we lost our parents and had to look for them so we could get pictures!

Ducky and me! I swear this kid's voice not only drops another octave every time I see him but he also grows another half a foot!

I was so happy for Konner and this big step of moving on from Junior High and to High School!!
