Every Kid Needs One!

I'm a beyond strong believer that every child needs one specific toy, above all other toys!

Luckily my husband feels the same way so this is why..............

when in Disneyland we got Alex and Kalia.....

LIGHT SABERS!!

Yes it could be that I was raised on Star Wars but you can't lie Light Sabers are pretty much awesome! I even got a double bladed one for Christmas!

I told Alex and Kalia this summer we can go outside and I'll teach them some sweet Jedi moves!

Hahaha! I'm such a nerd!

Eleven Months!

Yes your calendars are right! Today is the 29th of the month which means..................

Ron and I have been married for eleven months!

I won't lie I'm shocked at how fast these eleven months have gone by!

So here is our eleven month update!

*We rung in the New Year quietly at home, because our plans got canceled last minute, but of course those plans were made the day before too.

*I got signed off with a clean bill of health for my hip, which is how I plan to stay all year!

*Ron got busier with work after an employee was let go but it was a good thing and a good type of busy!

*I made a big choice to change my major and go fully into the field of forensics, homicide investigation, and pathology focusing mainly on pediatric causes.

*Ron and I are trying to eat better, exercise more, and get more in shape (yep the most famous of all New Year Resolutions!)

*I got to go and see my Ducky play flag football! I'm hoping he tries out for football at Red Mountain! This proud sister will make sure she makes a lot of those games!

*We got to attended the blessing of Miss Kimber, the daughter of our cousin's Matt and Piper!

*I truly have become the Domestic Diva! On my days off I ad match, run errands, clean, and have dinner ready to be cooked or cooking before 1pm! I also have been making homemade bread that has been super tasty!

*I got to get together once again with my cousins MeKell, Claudia, and Brittany at Claudia's house to make some fun Halloween crafts, eat, laugh, and just enjoy each others company!

*We happily fed the sister missionaries, something we are going to try to do every month!

Well that is pretty much our recap! But check out next month for out HUGE one year recap!!

Socrates and his gifts!

Not only is the 25th of December Christmas it is also my baby boy's birthday!

Good thing he is a dog and doesn't know the difference like a human would! Hahaha!

These are the funny pictures I took of him getting his Christmas/birthday gifts!

Finally he gets his bone that he has waited so long for!

Staging a Protest!

If you read my post about Christmas gifts you will know that I wrapped the bone we got for Socrates and I put it behind the tree. Of course he could smell it and he would go and look at it or lick it then look at me with a "Please let me have it!" look to which I replied "no you have to wait until Christmas!" So for the two weeks that his wrapped and forbidden bone sat behind the tree this is what he would do.

He would lay here everyday with that look on his face. Then that gift that you see there, well it would start out each and everyday of these two weeks upright by all the other gifts and as soon as Socrates came and laid in this spot he would put his paw out and knocked over this gift. The first day I got up and fixed it twice but following my rule for toddlers throwing things off of highchairs the third time the gift sat there. So everyday after that the gift would set there from his protest until he was outside for the night when I would fix it.

I won't lie I had a good laugh at his protest!

Shorty!

My dad grew up with the nickname Shorty because his 5'9ish frame makes him the shortest son out of my Drandma and Drandpa Larson's four sons. If fact when my Drandma Larson introduces my siblings and I to friends up in Holbrook she refers to us as Shorty's children and she even has a Christmas stocking that was my dad's that instead of saying his first name like all of the ones his siblings stockings it said Shorty.

It isn't proven but I'm sure that some genetic thing makes the first boy in the Larson clan the shortest of either their sex or out of all the children, even more if that first child is a girl.

Well for years as Karli and Kristopher shot up and past my 5'6 frame before my hip replacements and my 5'2 frame after the replacements before they were even in the middle of high school I still had hope that Konner would at least keep the title of shortest until he graduated.

I wasn't stupid and I knew one day that title would sadly be mine but again I was hoping that Konner would just grow slower and give me more time to deal with my destined shortest title!

Well I wished far too hard!

This was taken on Christmas Eve!

I now am the shortest of my siblings! Konner who is ONLY in 8th grade is a little more than half a head taller than me! Not only that but he is the taller than Karli and Kristopher was at that age meaning that he is either going to stop growing sooner (hahaha! Yeah that's not going to happen) or be the tallest of us four.

But I took my shorty title with a grain of salt. At least I still have the oldest title and you can't out or under grow that one!

Llama with Child!

Like you read in my last post due to a hip infection we missed a lot of the Christmas party, but luckily my mom took a lot of pictures but these two that I stole were by far my favorites!

This first one I love because David's Face is priceless and the second and biggest thing I love about this is my Llama holding Hudson!

I get all choked up when I see my Llama Face holding a baby and I know it will be even more special when Ron and I have a baby and he holds them for the first time!

And you also have to love the awesome beard my brother has going on!

Family Christmas Party!

Because my grandpa Hatch has been sick this year the plan for everyone that could go to California for Christmas was changed and everyone came to my parents house!

Sadly my hip decided to get all infected and grumpy so Ron and I spent the 23rd and the 26th in the ER and it took a lot of talking into and the promise to stay off my leg most of the time to not be admitted to the hospital for Christmas.

So because of this Ron and I missed pretty much everything but I broke my stay off your leg rule long enough to go to my parents house on Christmas Eve for 20 minutes or so to see everyone and get some pictures with my grandparents.

And I had to take a picture of Hudson real fast before we left!

I was really upset to miss everything but thankful that I was able to go for a little bit and that I didn't spend my Christmas in a hospital room!
