Aunt Cheryll and Uncle Hal

So I came home yesterday from work and as my dad and I were cleaning up the kitchen from the Bunco night my mom and I had he told me that my Great Aunt Cheryll had a brain aneurysm. I was completely floored and had to ask my dad to repeat himself to make sure I heard him right.

Yes I am only 23 years old and she is slightly older but I still love this women to pieces. Some of my earliest and best memories are of them at my house, us at theirs, or camping with them at family reunions. I remember watching her kids play Nintendo for hours and thinking that they were the coolest people ever! But my fondest memories is playing cards with her as well as with other family members at family reunions and getting my butt kicked 99% of the time.

As of right now things are looking okay. She is awake and is recognizing those around her. She had a 7 hour surgery on Monday night after it happened and right now they don't know the amount of damage that has been done or how/if she will be in the long term and they won't know for a little bit.

Please pray for her and her dear husband and all of their children that they will have the strength of the Lord and his gentleness with them.

Date night!!

So last night it was just me and Konner and we had an awesome time!! First I went and got my finger and toe nails done so that wasn't so much fun for him but he sat there and played his gameboy while I got them done.

After that we came home and got movie times for the cheap theater by the mall and headed on down there and saw Iron Man. It was Konner's first time seeing it and he really liked it. After the movie the only thing he said he wanted was an American Cheese burger and a press conference. Cheese burger first. For those of you who have seen the movie that should make sense!

So to help him out on those requests we went to dinner. I told him I could only get him the cheese burger and not the press conference. We went to Outback because it sounded great and at 9pm it wasn't even busy!! We sat there and ate and had a really good time.

We got home about 10:30pm and were very tired but we had an awesome night and it was a ton of fun! I love spending time with my siblings and they are amazing in their own ways and I love hanging out with them!!

Mesa Southwest Museum!

On August 6th I took the kids on the last activity of the summer! We went to Mesa Southwest Museum and had a really great time! They got to see all the dinosaurs things, look at meteorites, fossils, a flood, pan for gold, and even learn about poop! Yes they had a new little feature exhibit about it! It was a lot of fun and I'm glad that we went!

Konner, Ari, and Karli (helping Ary) panning for gold.

X-Files!!

So on July 24, 2008 I dragged my brother along to go and see the X-Files I Want to Believe midnight showing! He was such a good sport about seeing as he never did, will, or has like the
X-Files. But a free meal and movie seemed good enough payment for him to go!

Us waiting in the theater for the movie to start. I took his hat away so I could have a turn being gangsta!!

We went to a theater that isn't that busy and me with my busy Harkins mind set had us there three hours before the movie was supposed to start. Needless to say we were the only ones in the theater until about 11:30ish and so we took our goofy pictures and sang songs from my ipod horrible and loud and had a really good time!!
